Dear Diary,

Last Wednesday we played Delco Christian. We won 83-57. I had 21 points and 13 assists. On Tuesday we played Plumstead Christian. I had my career high, 51 points, 10 steals and 5 assists and I didnt play in the 4th quarter.

School started back on January 5th. I had a couple of pop quizzes but no tests yet. We get our report cards on the 30th. Oh yeah, the Pittsburgh Steelers are my team and we are going to win the Super Bowl.

Dear Diary,

We played Calvary Christian on friday. I had the flu but I wasn’t going to miss this game. We won and all my teammates stepped up. I had 20 points and 8 assists. Today we play Morrisville. Tomorrow I have a French test, a math test on Thursday and a very important Biology test on Friday. My week is goint to be busy as far as school goes, so this week I won’t be able to work out before practice. I’ll have to use that time to study. Shoutouts to my teammates Torrell, Dre and Lance for all dunking on players from Calvary Christian, and my man Kev whose birthday is friday.

Dear Diary,

Our season opener was on friday. We played Westinghouse. I had 25 points and 10 assists.  My ‘j’ was wet and i was getting everybody involved. Coach Tyrone wants me to develop more of a point guard game this season so i was happy about getting 10 assists. I think that will show colleges that i can distribute as well as create my own shot.  On saturday we played Wilkinsburg. We beat them 72-36.  It was a blowout. I only played 2 quarters, the first and the third and i had 20 points and 5 assists. In school my favorite subject is English. So far  have an “A”. Im making this short because i have to finish studying for my Biology test which is tomorow.  I want to shout out my man Kev, Khari, Mir and the class of 2011 at Girard College. See y’all next week.
ps- tuesday is my birthday

Dynasty? Girard College’s John Johnson is only a sophomore but already college recruiters have him on the big-time radar.

He and junior Torrel Candelaria, another top prospect, have the Cavaliers looking like a dynasty in the Constitution Division of the Bicentennial League.

Last season, Girard won the division crown with a 17-1 record and finished the season with a 25-3 overall mark.

The Cavaliers won their second straight Distict 1 Class A championship. Johnson was named to the small schools state championship team after averaging more than 20 points a game. If he should continue to make the all-state team through his career, he would be only the second area player to do it all four years.

“He’s certainly an exceptional player,” said Girard coach Tyrone Morris.

Johnson is the Cavaliers’ point guard; Candelaria is the shooting guard.
