Dear Diary,

Last friday night we lost to Brandon High School. It was a close game. I scored 27 points, 14 rebounds, 6 blocks and 5 steals. This is also finals week and I’m glad about that. Next week we play in the city Christmas tournament. I’ve been in the gym working against college guys since they are home on break. My trainer Omhar Carter has me mainly working with Maurice Bolden(Southern Miss) and my AAU teammate Deville Smith(Callaway HS). Omhar has me back to putting up 1,000 shots a day. Now my range is beyond the NBA 3 point line and I’m making other improvements on my game. I’ve been getting lots of hits on my myspace page after the highlights from the DeMatha game was put on youtube. I’M TELLING Y’ALL RIGHT NOW IF YOU THINK THAT WAS SOMETHING WAIT TIL YOU SEE THIS SUMMER!! I wanna send shoutouts to my baby sister Kennedy and my AAU Rodney Hood.

Dear Diary,

This weekend we flew to Maryland to play in the DTLR Hoops Festival. I got a chance to watch Maalik Wayns play before our game. I played with Maalik in the Elite 24 game this summer in NYC. Since we are from Mississippi this was the first time that some of my teammates have been to the east coast. We lost to DeMatha. They were a strong team. This loss is gonna help us to get better by the end of the season. I had 39 points, 12 rebounds, 4 steals and a blocked shot. Our record is 5-4. We have two games this week. We play Grenada HS and Brandon HS. Brandon High has a high ranked player named Tyler Adams.

People are wondering why I transferred to Murrah HS. Last year I went to Callaway HS. My family moved back to our old neighborhood, so I’m actually going to the school i wouldve gone to after 8th grade. It feels good to be back home especially since i’m going to school with my old friends. Everyone here looks up to me, so i’m trying to be a role model. Math is my favorite subject.

I want to shout out to Tyreke Evans. When i was in 8th grade we played AAU together. I ‘m watching him now that he’s at Memphis. I watched him practice a couple weeks ago. We keep in touch mostly texting. I also dont want to forget my mom and my team, Mississippi Basketball Association.
