Lawrence’s 22 help lead Strawberry Mansion to title

One of the smallest players on the court made the biggest impact for Strawberry Mansion’s boys’ basketball team in the championship game of the Glen Mills Tournament last night.

Darren Lawrence, a 6-foot guard, scored 22 points to lead all scorers in a 53-40 championship win over the host school.

Glen Mills got a fine game from 6-foot-11 center Aaric Murray, a La Salle University commit, who had 21 points and eight rebounds.

Central topped Lamberton, 51-39, in the consolation game behind Joshua Welles’ 11 points.
